Overview
If P.E.M.D.A.S. did not exist there will never be one answer to a multiple operation problem. In other words, P.E.M.D.A.S. is what brings math together, like gravity. P.E.M.D.A.S. holds most of the operation's names in one word! How cool is that?
P.E.M.D.A.S.? G.E.M.D.A.S.? BOMDAS?
Teachers are currently debating whether it should be parantheses or grouping symbols. Grouping symbols include the fraction bar, parantheses, and more. But what will the slogan be? Maybe, Go Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally? Hmmm...I'll let you think about this. Scroll down to the poll and voice your opinion. My grandfather also uses B.O.M.D.A.S. BODMAS stands for Brackets, Operations, Division, Multiplication, Addition, and Subtraction. Operations means exponents and (square/cube/etc) roots.
